3.0 Our warranty of the works
3.1 We promise to repair or replace any defects in the case of the proposed works that are a direct result of poor workmanship for a period of 3 years after the date of completion of the works.
3.2 Any defects found within the works must be reported within 21 days of completion. Within reasonable time; an investigation will commence. Once the cause of any defects has been established and agreed upon by both parties, we shall rectify the problem at our own expense. However, this promise does not extend to any defect arising from fair wear and tear, breakages of glass or damage not caused by any defects in the products or their installation. It should also be noted that when conducting remedial plastering work some further work is often required to get a detailed finish. Rarely do clients wish the contractor to spend such time on such detail as it become time consuming and expensive. Examples are detailed finish around existing tight fitting low level sockets or detail along and exisitng skirting board or coving which is not being removed. The decorating stage will deal with this in the form of light sanding and decorative caulk.
3.3 We will not be liable for any cracks that appear as long as we tape/EML (expanding metal lathe) all visible cracks before commencement of the agreed works, this occurrence is unavoidable if there is any structural movement present. If heating is used within 72 hours of installation we will not be liable for quick drying cracks.
3.4 You must allow us an opportunity to rectify any areas which do not meet your specification. Failure to do so will render you in breach of the works contract and liable for our expenses should you fail to allow us to complete the works as agreed.
3.5 Contamination - See 2.3 in Our terms and conditions. Any other contamination must be notified as soon as possible and the area/item viewed before any attempt at cleaning is attempted in order that proper action and advice can be given.
3.6 If you are in breach of item 2.12 in our terms and conditions we reserve the right to not return to the works and will compensate you for any poor workmanship with a discount satisfactory to both parties.
